a little too Tumblr for me

I feel like this started with a Tumblr post reading "au where a girl can see people's death dates" and no editor or agent intervened before this was published. The plot twists and some elements of the plot were alright, but overall this whole thing felt like a middle school's improv troupe's final project. I will say, kudos for not hyperfocusing on Harvard as the dream college, but getting creative and picking Cornell. Still, too cringy and a little too try-hard for me.

Amazing

I bought this book a long time ago and absolutely loved it, the twists quite literally took my breath away and the plot, the characters, everything about it was perfect and it was pretty fast paced.

this book was OKAY. some parts i absolutely loved, but some parts i would never, ever read again. in all honesty, i wouldn’t recommend this book. i loved the plot, but it was full of way too much drama for my liking. the amount of drama felt like a wattpad book. the plot twists were so amazing though, i could never figure out who the murderer was. i was always SO confused. thank you, victoria laurie for that. even though i didn’t like this book, CAN I PLEASE GET A SEQUEL JUST ON MADDIE AND AIDEN BECAUSE THEY ARE LITERAL SOULMATES? (and because i love agent faraday.)

WHEN will you die?

Maddie Fynn has a unique ability, if a person comes within a few feet of her she can read the date that they'll die. Maddie reads "death dates" for people for a little extra cash but when she see's a death date for a young boy who's going to die in just a week she ends up in a little trouble. The majority of the book is about Maddie and her best friend Stubby trying to stay out of trouble when they're being pegged for the murder of a few teenagers. The killer was in the book for most of the book and I never even guessed it could have been that person. I love when a author can surprise me with who the murder actually is (5 stars for the surprise) I also really enjoyed the ending of this book. It was a little surprising too.
