Practically a slave to her brother's family in a small English village, Katherine Marsh meets Dr. Jason Fitzroy, and falls instantly in love. Jason finds her a job at the hospital which gives her a new sense of self-respect. He also gives her her first taste of freedom missing from her earlier years. But Katherine knew she can't truly be free while her heart is a prisoner of love.
When Two Paths Meet is one of my favorites of Betty Neels. A young lady poorly treated by her brother and his family unexpectedly meets a very kind doctor who essentially saves her. Highly recommended.
When Two Paths Meet

Like most of The Best of Betty Neels, When Two Paths Meet is another romance with a well thought-out plot about the struggles and triumph of an endearing heroine who puts up with the absurd from her brother's family, until a capable doctor turns her world upside down and later makes freedom possible and self-respect that comes with it. There are still pitfalls to avoid and misunderstandings to keep the two occupied until they reach a happy conclusion. The book arrived in good condition and was a pleasure to read.
