Great learn-to-read book

"When It Rains It Rains" is a wonderful, colorfully illustrated short poem. Each line of the poem is presented across a two page spread. It's a great book for kids to learn how to read by associating the repetitive sound of words with the pictures. My daughter could recite the entire poem by looking at the pictures when she was two years old. "When It Rains It Rains," is far more simple than "Goodnight Moon," and traditional nursery rhymes, making it a great starting place for teaching your child how to read. The sentence structure remains constant, replacing only one word in each line until the twist at the end. When it rains, it rains. When it blows, it blows. When it's hot, it's hot. When it's cold, it's cold. etc. The book is small in size, about six inches by six inches. Hard cover with approximately 80lb paper pages. The pages are getting yellowed in our copy since the book is now almost 40 years old. Highly recommended. Simple, colorful and fun. It's a keeper.
