Awesome Book!

This book is great! It really opened my eyes to a lot of careers I never would have even heard of.

Finally, a useful AND entertaining job book.

David Rosen's book, "What's That Job and How the Hell Do I Get It?", features TONS of useful information about professional and creative careers, and is written in a funny, down-to-earth voice that will have you laughing the entire way through. It's a must-read for those looking for a career, and also for people curious about the "day-to-day" of a ton of interesting (and sometimes quirky) jobs. Highly recommended!

Wish I had this book a few career crises ago

This book is a great concept and is extremely well executed. It achieves its goal of presenting actual informational interviews with cool interesting people who are top in their fields. It's the equivalent of going to an intimate dinner party with people who have interesting jobs you might want, without the awkwardness of hounding folks about the details of what they do and how they went about getting to do it. The book is also very funny of course -- Rosen's conversational style writing, taglines and charts and graphs gave me many laughs out loud. I wish I had had this book when I got out of college and the only job I could imagine wanting was working as an intern/page on Letterman. Great gift for anyone who thinks they need a life coach (one of the jobs profiled). Cheaper too.

SUPERB Reading!!

I couldn't put the book down. A perfect blend of entertaining yet informative. Whether or not you are (or will soon be) in the job market, it is a fascinating read especially for us curious types who wonder what happens behind all those scenes.

Very Helpful And Fun To Read

Really smart career guide aimed mostly at college grads but also anyone who is confused about which way to go, job-wise. Great "day in the life" bits and excellent, specific "how to go get" each job, tips. Highly recco'd.
