What I was looking for

As a devout Christian Bible student, I knew that God had forgiven me, but how could I forgive myself? This book, which is based on the Old Testament and belief in the one God of the Bible, was what I was looking for. I appreciated that everything he said was in harmony with the Scriptures. The author helps one to reason on the matter of being balanced. He starts with explaining the meaning or purpose of this feeling of guilt that we were created to have in response to our own sins. Then he shows how guilt can be used effectively, how it is often overdone by people, and why it needs to be kept in it's proper place.I think this book would be most effective for those already familiar with the Old Testament stories.
