Fragile but a favorite

I'm re-buying this book for my one-year-old because she loves it so much. As the previous reviewer mentioned, it's easy for an enthusiastic toddler to rip the tabs from the pages. It's definitely a book to read with a parent "helping." My daughter adores this style of tab because it's easy to pull (she could do it at nine months). The illustrations are appealing and whimsical. There IS a pattern to the illustrations on the pages around the tabs...the animal outside the box on one page is inside the box on the next page. My daughter loves all the books from this series, especially "Who Lives Here?"
