One of the great things that Ryrie points out in this book is that the Bible does have apparant "problems" within the text. By that he means that a person looking for errors to discredit the Bible could probably find many ways to attack the bible. Biblical inerrancy is a matter of faith. When you trust that the bible is free of errors, you understand that what might seem to be a contradiction can easily be explained with a little extra study. The Bible is error-free, and all of the 'apparant errors' claimed are based on people's desires to discredit God and His Word. Ryrie makes that case very well, especially for the lay reader. I recommend this book to the Christian looking to strengthen his/her faith.
