What Was That About? takes the reader into a very thought-provoking and highly engaging journey through the eyes of psychotherapist and author Len Tabicman. The thinking behind this book is to present numerous case studies and examples of behaviors that shouldn't be modeled in an attempt to learn and profit from the mistakes of others. The hope is that by seeing these blunders you can look at your own life and make some modifications that will change your future. Yes, you absolutely can learn from the mistakes of others. You will find many people in this book that you see every day in your own life. Len Tabicman was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. Thirty years ago he moved to Anna Maria Island, a small idyllic piece of Paradise off the Gulf Coast of Florida. In December of 2017, he retired after forty years as a psychotherapist in both New Jersey and Florida. Along his journey, he taught at Fairleigh Dickinson University for twenty years and has taught classes at the Lifelong Learning Academy at the University of South Florida. In addition, he has served as Chairman of the Florida Retirement Commission, President of the Board for HOPE Family Services, Chairman of the Board for FAADA (Families Against Addictive Drug Abuse) and as a board member for the Manatee County E.L.C. (Early Learning Coalition). He has also served as Director of Special Services in two towns in New Jersey (Wanaque and Rumson) and served as Director of Boystown for a short stint. Len brings a wealth of experience and diversity to the field.
