I read this book many, many years ago when it was given to me by a friend. Unfortunately I've since lost it. Up until that time my major influence in the field of computers was my stereotypical cyberphobic mother. This book changed my mind completely (thankfully), and after reading it I became hooked on anything to do with computers. Today it would probably be called "Microcomputers for Dummies" since it was written in simple layman's terms, with loads of humor, sidenotes, pictures, etc. Even though the technology is somewhat(?!) obsolete, I would love to go back and read it again.
