Almost like being there!

It's fun and informative! An easy read that takes you step by step through the cruising experience. We cruise about 3 times a year. Crystal, Regent, Seabourn and most often Holland America. Now we want to try Celebrity!

Cruise information

This was an enjoyable documentation of what a cruise is about. It was interesting to hear of their experience and comparing what we encountered on our cruises. Especially good reading for first time cruisers.

A Really Good Intro

My wife and I are taking our first cruise in March of this year. In trying to get as much information about our first time experience we've been through many websites, Frommers, Fodors, etc.. All excellent reads and tools on what to expect, but usually written in a fairly dry manner. Chester manages to pull off an entertaining travel story, but also a really great first time tutorial with this book. His website, also mentioned in the book, follows his trip, with pictures and high quality video. A real multi-media masterpiece. I ordered this last week, read it in a few sittings, then went on to the website. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Almost as good as being there!

I just could not put it down. This book was the turning point that convinced my wife and I to take our first cruise. Chester's whit and expert storytelling gave us all the information we needed to make our first cruise a treasure for a life time. Almost as much fun as the book! Thanks Chester

If you're debating about taking a cruise...this book's for you!

Chester's writing style makes the whole cruise experience come alive, and his enthusiasm is very contagious. He is an excellent writer, and the book is a very good, quick read. I could hardly put it down. We are now booked for a 12 day cruise on the same ship and cruise line he wrote this book about -- and we can hardly wait till we leave! I LOVED this book.
