Book Overview

A Skeleton in the Attic

Miranda James' _What the Cat Dragged In_ (2021) is book number 14 in the Cat in the Stacks mystery series. Librarian Charlie Harris has inherited his grandfather's farmhouse. He and his faithful Maine Coon cat Diesel move in, only to discover that the house is the site of a series of old murders. But it is not altogether clear who the victims are. Nor is it clear how many murderers were involved. The mystery is not quite as ingenious as several earlier novels in the series, but the writing remains consistently smooth and entertaining.
