You ARE special

I received this book becuase I was in a time of depression, sort of. I was constantly being insulted and put down by my peers. Once I read this book I realized that it was alright for me to be different and that in certain ways I was unique. I also came to learn that some of my bad points weren't so bad after all. The book basically goes on in order of age: it starts with before you were born, when you were born, living with family and at school. The book talks about how when you were born could have affected you mentally. If someone likes this book, they might like "The Care and Keeping of Friends" from American Girl.
