Stephen Arterburn, bestselling author of The Every Man's Battle series, is a nationally renowned expert on helping men and women take life-changing actions to improve their lives. Anyone can benefit from this gem from Steve Arterburn. Highly readable, it manages to put sound counseling principles into brief (3-4 page) chapters that are not psycho babble, but also are not difficult to read or comprehend. It is also a terrificly attractive little book! How great a gift do I think it is? I bought seventy-two (72)!

This is such an excellent little book. It will help you clean up your life, learn to give your cares to Jesus, break free from bondage to food, fear and other folly, and review many passages of Scripture that are relevant to each theme. It is definitely worth the price of the book. I bought six of them to give to friends. I even wrote a 25-page study guide for the book for my friends. (I'm an instructional designer.) If you'd like a copy, write to me and I'll send you the link. Here's just the first three themes to whet your appetite: - Lose the Burden of Control...Gain the Freedom of Surrender - Lose the Do-It-Yourself Mentality...Gain the Gift of Grace - Lose the Unrealistic Expectations...Gain Real Hope
Pleasantly Surprised

At first I was disappointed in the size and taught me a lesson to see how many pages in a book before i purchase, but I was pleasantly surprised how powerful the words were, and thought it was a perfect gift to a relative who is not a "reader", hope they equally got something out of it as I did.
