It's hard to believe this book was written in 1984. This witty and sarcastic "self-harm guide for job hunters & career-changers" left me laughing like a fool as I thumbed through it in a flea market. It's humorous "advice" is still funny 20 years after its publication. All cynics and apathists should explore this book, for I found it more useful than the self-help job-hunting manuals which it parodies...at least maybe the absurdity I saw therein helped me realize my own flaws and made me laugh.
Funniest, most deserving parody of the job hunt guide genre

Its a shame its out of print because I really liked this book. It laid bare the silliness of most of the Job hunt books (most notably, What Color is Your Parachute). In keeping my spirits up, it was at least as helpful as Bowles' book in my job search.
