What Can I Give Him

"What Can I Give Him" is a lovely treatment of the whimsical poem and Anglican hymn ("In the Bleak Midwinter") about Jesus' birth. Debi Gliori captures the universality of the message of God's visit by juxtaposing scenes from BC Bethlehem and from a "bleak midwinter" in modern Western Europe.The child protagonist in this short drama concludes, as does the hymn, that the appropriate gift for an almighty savior is the one thing she has to give that he does not already own, "my heart."
