An ambitious book that details the headlines, advertisements and daily life of 1950. The perfect gift for someone born (or married) in 1950. Just like a trip in the way-back machine. Great facts like average salaries, grocery & housing prices, etc. Fascinating photos of the cars and fashions of the era.Also proves to be a painless way to teach your kids the recent history of the USA.Minus one star for a couple of factual errors (misspelling Katharine Hepburn's name, no less). Not the most appealing to the eye with some pages including many different fonts. Entirely B & W.
