What Anne Rice did for vampire fiction, Philip Nutman has done for the zombie genre . . . an impressive first novel.--John Scaleri, "The Horror Factory." This description may be from another edition of this product.
First off i would like to thank MR NUTMAN for his kindness. Mr Nutman tells a horror story like never before, with detail and style. When i first picked up Wet Work i had heard about it from Mr Nutmans work with CHAOS COMICS. i figured i would give it a try, i looked at the first page and said DAMMM i can't read this but as i read on something pulled me into the story, before i knew it i could not wait for the next chapter needless to say when i got done i did not sleep too well. (the one part with the guy that fell down the stairs WOW) anyways this book is a MUST BUY for any horror fan i would love to see a wet work movie GOOD LUCK MR. NUTMAN
THE BEST NOVEL OF EPIC TERROR, IN MY HUMBLE OPINION.

THIS IS A DARN FINE BOOK. I READ IT IN ONE SITTING (SOMETHING I HAVE NOT DONE W/ ANY OTHER NOVEL BEFORE OR SINCE), ON A PLANE TRIP FROM SEATTLE TO NEWARK, AND LET ME TELL YOU - IT IS STILL MY ALL TIME FAVORITE NOVEL. ZOMBIES, HEROES, THE UNITED STATES OF HELL - MOST IMPRESSIVE. I HAVE SINCE LOST MY COPY, AND I HOPE THIS EXCELLENT WORK GETS REPUBLISHED SOON SO I CAN OBTAIN A NEW ONE. PHIL NUTMAN, 5 STARS, AND IF I WERE A FILMMAKER, I'D HAVE TO DIRECT YOUR BOOK. A KILLER. THANKS FOR THE EXPERIENCE. THIS IS A FINE PIECE OF WRITING; IT HASN'T BEEN TOPPED.
great

THIS IS WHAT A HORROR FAN WANTS IN A HORROR STORY. THER IS A LOT OF BLOOD AND VIOLENCE AND CHARACTERS YOU CAN REALLY PULL FOR AND CARE ABOUT. I ONLY WISH THIS BOOK WAS BIGGER, A LOT BIGGER BECAUSE IT ENDS WAY TOO SOON AND THIS NUTMAN GUY ISN'T TOO PROLIFIC. AFTER READING THIS BOOK I WAS TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED TO DISCOVER THAT THIS IS APPARENTLY THE ONLY BOOK OF HIS IN THE HORROR GENRE THAT YOU CAN GET. I ALSO WONDER WHY THIS BOOK HASN'T BECOME A MOVIE. IF HOLLYWOOD EVER GETS TIRED OF RECYCLING OLD T.V. SHOWS AND SHAKESPERE STORIES THIS LITTLE GEM IS WAITING FOR A PRODUCER WITH BALLS TO MAKE IT. MR. NUTMAN IF YOU EVER READ THIS THIS I FOR ONE WOULD LIKE TO READ MORE BOOKS BY YOU.
A new take on the living dead genre!

A dark horror novel with som sumliminal comedy about the revived dead who decide to create the United States of Hell. Fast-paced and graphic, it is one of the best books that I have read in a long time.
The best horror novel of all time!!!

Having been a fan of George Romero's "Living Dead" trilogy of movies, I expected the same old tired zombie conventions from Philip Nutman. I WAS SO WRONG! As a reader of much horror fiction and a fan of the zombie mythos, I gleefully admit I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY THIS BOOK! Fresh, inventive, cleverly-written, quick-paced and absolutely terrifying! Quite frankly, THE BEST HORROR NOVEL EVER WRITTEN! Deserves to be a movie - directed by Sam Raimi.
