I used this book for my plant nutrition course and it was very informative. Would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in how soil and nutrition work in the western US.

This book is a must for anyone interested in understanding soil and how plants grow. As a UCCE Master Gardener, I have used this as basis for teaching a Nutrient (fertilizer) class to the public. It explains the interrelation of soil type, moisture and the macro- and micronutrients to successfully grow pkants. Even organic growers should know these fundamentals: the plants need the nutrients however they get them.
