As a teenager in high school, he was faced with a decision, and chose a course of action that would irrevocability change his life when he became an adult. The repercussions of that choice were fully realized years later when the government of the only home that he had ever know initiated proceedings for his removal and deportation. Given the current climate in this country regarding Immigration reform, and the often mentioned "broken system", Welcome Home exposes an additional demoralizing element of this concept that often goes unmentioned. With the challenges faced along his journey, Mr. Ezeilo's experiences uniquely qualify him to shed light on this untold dimension of the broken system.
