A profound book of wisdom which may change readers' lives

This very personal story brings the reader into the lives of two remarkable people. Jack and Deborah Bartello relate the story of their lives, their relationships with each other, with friends, and with God. In the style of the Conversations with God series, the Bartellos tell of their open loving communion with Christ and offer Him a voice into our modern age. The wisdom shared in this book reaches for our very core self as we struggle to understand our role here on Earth. The voice of Christ offers peace as well as a mission, just as it did 2000 years ago, but the binding that culture wrapped around the Christ message since the birth of Jesus is dispelled here in this book. This freedom from cultural manacles is the fresh message that Christ offers today. At first frightening (the Bartellos offer an entire section on "Interference" that it took me several weeks to deal with fully), this freedom soon shows itself to be our real mission here. We are meant to live with the freedom of Spirit described in this book. The job of throwing off the manacles that we have become so accustomed to working and living with is not easy, but it is worth the effort. The manual for achieving freedom near the end of the book, offered by the Bartellos, and by Christ through the Bartellos, shows us the way in beautifully written stories, examples, and suggestions. This book is not for the faint of heart. Many challenges are offered. Our whole conception of Christianity, be our experience positive or negative, will be changed by reading this book. However, our whole world may benefit from this new vision.
