This poetry book is a collection of personal writing that deals with the complicated emotions that come with loss, love and everything in between. In terms of tone, It reads from start to finish like a story - encapsulating a time that love was of difficult explanation to outside eyes. It's about the transformation that comes with experiencing heartbreak and difficult truths. There are recurrent themes and symbolism in the book due to their impact and evolution over time, themes such as death, rebirth, the ever-changing seasons of life and the desire to resist those things. The book is also illustrated by the author in a pointillism style (excluding one drawing), depicting these themes as well. Wayward Fruits is honestly a selfish compilation of confessions and expressions of the sometimes painful, but meaningful journey through life experiences.
"- I thought to myself - never in my life such a familiarity was this - I felt the hate and I felt the love, I felt the mundane and the extraordinary all at once, that's just the way it was"
