Enjoyable for sports fans and readers alike.

"Wayne Estes: A Hero's Legacy" is a great read for sports fans or anyone who enjoys a gripping biography. The book is about Wayne Estes, a 1960's college basketball star at Utah State University, who died tragically in a freak accident. Although the book focuses mainly on Wayne's athletic achievements, it also portrays him as a son, friend, student, boyfriend, and brother. Readers end up admiring Wayne as a person, rather than just as a basketball star. The book is well written, fast-paced, and doesn't dwell on the unimportant the way most biographies do. It's also very entertaining, a quality that most other biographies often lack. I liked how the book seems to take readers back in time to when the events actually happened. I've read the book several times and wish that I could have watched Wayne in action. I consider him one of my favorite basketball players, even though I've never seen him play. I have no doubt that he would have been an impact player in the NBA and would be very well-known today, had he not died so young. The book contains a section with photos in it which add greatly to the reading experience. This is a great book. Read it!

A good book, review by Michelle Blaz

After reading "Wayne Estes: A Hero's Legacy" I had learned so much from it. Even though Wayne was originally from Anaconda I did not know very much about him. Olson does an excellant job with details, there are so many, that you can almost picture yourself at the scenes in this book. Such as the basketball game, and when Wayne walked right into the live wire. I have read the book twice now and I am writing a research paper on it now in my English class. It is an magnificent reference and has a lot of information. If you haven't read this book yet I really encourage you to do so if you are interested in basketball.
