Very unusual story that grows on you on rereading

Although this is not my absolute favorite M. A. Foster book, it is well worth reading. As with all his books, the characters are the focus, but the plot can hold your interest as well. Now for some good news for Foster's devoted fans: his Morphodite trilogy and the Ler trilogy are back in print after a couple of decades! Check them out under his name near the top of this page.
