This book covers an astonishing range of topics about water.

I recently reread this book while preparing for a job interview. I wrote it in 1989-89 and am amazed by the amount of research that went into it -- young readers can learn about the salt water (the oceans, etc), fresh water (the river quiz is very useful -- I just tried it out on high school students), the politics of water which is rather timely now that some Canadian companies are trying to sell off the Great Lakes, etc. Teachers will find a bit of everything in this collection of activities, games, and short articles. The illustration of Columbus holding a Native person in a friendly embrace is NOT my doing: I tried in fact to get it out of the first edition and the second! Hope you like the book.
