A book you cannot put down!

This has to be in my top three favorite Dean Koontz books if not my absolute favorite of his! Very interesting!

Loved this book.

If you love golden retrievers then you’ll love this story. But I love all dog stories.

Great story, good writer

This is a very good read. Very interesting story line. Great writer.

One of Mr. Koontz best books

Many years ago, this was the first Dean Koontz book I read; it was a gift from a friend. First thing I said was that I'm really not one of his fans and I was told you WILL like this. As I'm a dog/cat person, decided to give it a try. I fell in love with the main character as am sure any pet person will. I have several favorite books from this author since I've discovered Mr. Koontz. "Watchers", of course, along with "Dark Rivers of the Heart", also a pet inspired mystery book. I also enjoyed reading the "Jane Hawk" series, starting with "the Silent Corner" and the story continues with additional books. These are very hard to put down because you want to know what continues next. In a different realm is the book "Lightning" which is very different and very grabbing. I recommend these books to any Mr. Koontz fans, and also a good beginning for anyone who wants to discover what Mr. Koontz is all about.

Good book

This book took me awhile to pick back up when I put it down. When I did pick it up I enjoyed it but it just seemed too predictable.

My First Dean Koontz Read

This was the First Dean Koontz Book I read and still one of my favorites. I first read it about 15 years ago and I have been a Dean Koontz fan ever since.

A FIERY DISCOVERY ....

This book kept me on my feet and last breath.. read it over and over... sure over 20 times and still want to read it again.. I had a copy but when I left University I gave it to a friend as a token of luck.... It's a book I never stopped reading except daytime.. but the images in the the book stayed with me all day and could not wait for night to come... the only way I found connection with it was reading it at night... every detail became very alive infront of my eyes.. I felt like and still feel like I belonged in that world... I have read many books but this one is one of the masterpieces that captured my heart...it became part of me.. the plot is brilliantly set out and the unfolding of events kept on moving.. there was no moment of missing a clue.. the mystery, the thriller, the suspense, the relationship of characters just became a real world that we all live in.... it was as if, if I had to walk out of that door, then I will be engulfed in that world... this has been a fiery discovery of Mr. Dean Koontz's works. I have recommended the book to both my life partner and friends.... read it.. you will never be disappointed.... it's great!!!! Tebby W.T. Ramasike, (South Africa). xxx

A dazzling combination of suspense, horror, and romance

You have not read a book until you have read Watchers by Dean Koontz. Why? I will try to be brief.. no book can ever match the powerful beginning of this novel. It was gripping, thrilling, from page 3. There is a lot of description, but Dean has a way of making every description useful and enjoyoyable - unlike some authors who bore you to death with totally irrelevant paragraphs. His characters may be extreme in some ways, nevertheless, they were painted into realistic people that can indeed exist in real life. For the first few chapters.. you will be intrigued at how different incidents can be connected.. then slowly and with a lot of mystery, the story begins to connect and become clearer.Travis, Nora, Einstein, and Vince are the main characters in the book. Dean allows you to see the world from their eyes, which can be fascinating because they are fascinating characters! Einstein, the dog, will capture your heart. Even the evil presence in the story will have you sympathize with it. The plot is structured so well that there is no spot where the action slows down. Given the long time within which the story takes place, this novel is very fast paced and will leave you at the edge of your seat. And I have to confess that Koontz does not leave you unsatisfied or frustrated at any point. The characters will ask the questions that you have in your mind, and the action will keep you fully aware of the current situation. The suspense will leave you shuddering, and the romance will warm your heart. This is a story that is full of emotion.. where there is a lesson at the end for mankind. It will stay in my heart to the end of my life.
