Not your everday Kittypet

I love these first three books and the three that follow it. Rusty/Fireheart is house cat that gets the chance to live amoung the wild cats in the forest just outside his owners garden. But not everyone in the clan he joins is happy to see a Kittypet join them. This seris reminds you that even though we all look the same we are not all from the same path. Soon Fireheart finds himself protecting his clan and leader from a traitor within. You will never look at your kitty (or in my case kitties) the same way again.

My daughter loves this series

If my 8 year old daughter could give this series 100 stars she would. She loves the excitement, adventure and drama of these books. This is the first time I've ever seen her read a book and start to cry over what she was reading -- She really gets into the story. My complaint about this series is that Accelerated Reader has not picked it up yet, so she has to stop reading it to read AR books so she can meet her AR goal each quarter in school. It's always a fight to get her to read something else when she's in the middle of a "Warrior Cat" book.

Fascinating!

My little brother is a fan of this series and he asked for these books for Christmas. I borrowed them from him and read all three in the three days after Christmas! I could not put them down! Even though they are written for kids, they are well written and I would recommend them to any adult who enjoys fantasy fiction. Of course real cats do not live in clans with a clan leader and deputy, do not have medicine cats who treat wounds by chewing up herbs and spitting them in wounds, bandaging them with spiderweb, and communicating with a mystical "starclan" of departed ancestors... but that's why it's called fantasy! For anyone getting it for young children, do be aware that the authors (and Erin Hunter is a penname for a writing team of two women)are mystical/newagey in their personal beliefs, interested in astrology and standing stones and so forth, and that certainly does come out in their writing. Also, there is some violence, in the form of vivid descriptions of battles between the cats, during which some cats are killed. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series!

Grand Adventure

I originally bought these books for a niece and began reading book one out of boredom. I was immediately drawn in to a fantastic world that was spiritual, traditional, and pushed the concept of diversity in a different way. I enjoyed the world that was created with it's light and dark depictions. It teaches young children about resiliency, optimism, and acceptance of those who are different from yourself. The Warrior books link into on long story, that climaxes in book six with an agonizing but satisfying ending. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book for young readers, as well as, the young at heart.

Great books series!

These books are great for girls and boys of all ages. I'm 13 and I love these books. My friend (who introduced me to it) loves it and her little brother loves the books too. These books are full of adventure, excitement and humor. It's really fun to read the books, although not so fun to have to wait for the next one to come out!I suggest these books for anyone from ages 8+, because there is some parts that are a little scary (and a little gory) and the language is more advanced, but no bad words are ever used.
