This book provides a good overview of the UFC since it's beginnings, providing a summary of how the sport got started and has evolved, the styles of fighting and profiles of various fighters. Unfortunately, it's not nearly as good or thorough as "Brawl", which is also written by Erich Krauss. Also many of the same fighters profiled in this book are profiled in 'Brawl,' so a lot of the information repeats itself. I also found it somewhat unusual that one of the fighters featured in this book was Carlos Newton. While he's certainly talented and an interesting character, it seems there are other fighters who would be more likely choices (i.e.- Phil Baroni and Evan Tanner who are on the cover). That said, I can recommend this to any UFC fan, or anyone interested in learning more about the sport and some of the fighters. It's a quick read at just over 150 pages, also features some high quality photos.
