Great Sci-fi, a good read

On a night of festivities the people of Mesara have a new hope for the future, an end to hostilities with the Kargans. The Kargans have even given them a gesture of peace, a spice from their homeland called Faral. There to celebrate with her family is Phada, a Keeper's apprentice, on the verge of taking a vow of celebacy to join the revered group of women who keep the history of their people. Also attending is Sarak, a Dominator, of a celebate warrior group who are looked down on but needed by the people of Mesara for protection. Dominators are chosen as children because of aggresive behavior and forced to live in a training facility where they are harshly treated and taught the art of war . Mesara thinks they have solved the problem of violence by keeping the Domiators subjigated, but in reality they have created a monster that can threaten their entire land. Dalcor, high commander of the Dominators, has conspired with the Kargans against the Mesarans by giving them the spice, which is highly addictive. Now the only ones left to help find a cure and save their people are Phada and Sarak. They must travel to land where faral is made, a land of their greatest enemies and maybe along the way they might learn there is more to each other than Keeper and Dominator.

Fabulous Plot and Characters!!!

The first futuristic romance I read was Johannah Lindsay's "Warrior's Woman". From then on I was hooked on the genre, but I have never found anyone who could match Ms. Lindsay's talent for creating worlds, plots, and characters that were so believable and beguiling...until now that is. I couldn't put it down. Congrats to Ms. Jordan. Is there a sequel, has she written anything else?!?!?! I think I'm hooked... again. I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes a good futuristic romance.

3D Characters, Swift Plot, Believable Romance

With the male vs. female blurb on back of book, I was hesitant to read this book in case it was all macho-man and too-stupid-wimpy-female style. Surprise! A great read with real 3dimensional characters, a plot that holds together as romance and as science fiction (i.e., believable once the rules of the society/world are set up), believable villains and never dragged in any section.
