Warmachine Apotheosis Worth The Story even with Mark II

Warmachine Apotheosis adds a lot of storyline to the game. This just adds more opportunities for fun when playing the game. It's worth the story even with Mark II on the way.

Quality game, product, and service...

This latest addition to the Warmachine game world continues the pattern of excellent art, strong writing, and playable game mechanics I've come to expect from this game system. Apotheosis is a great read for the infrequent gamer and a worthwhile investment for the serious player who has the money and time to buy, paint and play using the new models and stats it provides. My only gripe is the actual size of this book. It is taller and wider than the previous books, which means it does not fit in my current storage case and juts out on the shelf. As a piece of quality art, the book is great. But as a reference book for practical use in travel and game play it's a pain.

Phenomenal!

This is a gint leap forward in production for Privateer Press. Full color, beautiful art, reference quality paper, and perfect bound; this is what miniature wargaming books should be like. The content is a big step up from previous releases as well, with in-depth descriptions and backstory for some of the games most important and interesting characters. BRAVO!

Makes you ask warhmmer who?

This is an amazing book, in game content, quality, and sheer presentation. If Privateer Press continues to put out this kind of quality it won't be long before we ask WARHAMMER who?

Incredible expansion to an already fantastic game

Apotheosis is a definitive evolutionary step for WARMACHINE. The artwork is beautiful and the layout is amazing. The new characters and warmachines add a new level to the game that brings about a completely different strategy. None of this mentions the intricate storyline that has been laced throughout the book. Of all the games that I have played Privateer Press is the only one that still cares about the story, which is one of the factors in making it a great game; the rules are simple but not simplistic. Nowhere else can my character progress from a regular Warcaster to an Epic. As a Khador player I can respect what they did with Sorscha and love that I can still play the old one, or take the game to the next level and play the Epic version of the same character. The book also includes a new campaign system that takes a drastic turn from the old style. The new map campaign adds deeper levels of both strategy and tactics, allowing players to exploit their opponents' weaknesses while trying to control key points on the map. Wonderful book and a must buy for any gamer or anyone that loves a great story and art. I strongly suggest that you pick up this book as well as PRIME and ESCALATION.
