Awards for WATCHERS series: 1999 ALA Quick Picks for Young Adults (Last Stop); 2000 IRA Children's Choice (War). This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book is a unique kind of time travel / alternate history sci fi for young readers. It is well written, so that you get the feel of war from the perspective of a 14 year old. He finds the romance and adventure is bled out of it, by real blood, his own and his distant relative. Knowing history is different than being able to change it; even if you have a chance.
Great!

I love this book, and all the other books in this series for that matter. I've read 1-4 and intend to read the other books, too. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a quick read, I read it in a day, and suspense. :)
Weird as Always......

This series is definatly weird and this book is no acception. Jake Brandford loves war and wishes he could be in one. Then his wish comes true when a spooky director comes to town. The ending confused me .Maybe someone can explain it better. Still Good though. :)
