Ross and Lark-SPOILERS

Favorite scene with Lark- Her reunion with the bad outlaw dude in her room. Favorite scene with Ross- Making a deal with the sheriff re: the bad outlaw dude and Lark. Together- At the cemetery. What did you like about Lark- Her love for her job, and for the town. She'll make a great mother. I loved her relationship with her boss' son. During some parts of the book, it was like she was two different people-the sweet woman who wanted to start over and the hardened ex-outlaw. I do wish that I could have seen more of the hardened ex-outlaw. Although she wanted to run at first, I'm glad she realized that she needed to complete her prison sentence before she could truly begin a new life for herself. She loved Ross, eventhough he was the man that sent her to prison in the beginning of the book. Ross' eye patch didn't bother her one bit. How well she got along with Ross' sister. What didn't you like about Lark- There wasn't anything that I didn't like about Lark. What did you like about Ross- His love for his sister. His love for his wood hobby. Loving and forgiving Lark, although I wish that Ross had been a little darker and more bitter. What didn't you like about Ross- This is not a dislike at all, but more of a I wish that Ross had been a little darker and more bitter. For someone with his occupation and past, he was a little too happy and forgiving. If I had to cast Ross, I'd cast Thorsten Kaye. If I had to cast Lark, I'd cast Tiffani Thiessen.

ONE OF THE BETTER ONES TO READ --

Darn good plot - excellent characters - great pace - "Wild Red" at 16 was a lot different from Lark Renault at 21. Lark has paid her price to society for the jobs they could pin on her. She has lost "Wild Red"'s cockiness - now is vulnerable and threatened. "Catfish" Jack Friday has found her and wants the gold from the Muscatine heist. All but John of the Reno gang has been eliminated. Ah but "Catfish" did not figure on landing in the same town with the bounty hunter. Ross Santana had moved to Ida Grove, Iowa to raise his sister, 16 year old Chat [never did find out her full name]. He has a thriving business of furniture making to fill his time. When he followed the Reno gang to Canada with the Pinkertons' he lost an eye to "Catfish"'s shot-gun and he is still waiting for justice. Ironically Lark works for Mr. Templeton who owns the bank. His 6 year old son, Phillip seems to have a fascination for outlaws. What a little character. After "Catfish" attacked Lark, Father Baxter decided that the one person to help her was Ross Santana. Santana was not thrilled with the idea. Therein starts a really nice, but disturbing friendship between Lark and Chat and an intriguing attraction between Lark and Ross. The story just kept progressing well with intrigue and tension [not enough to knock you off your seat] but enough that was necessary. You will thoroughly enjoy the characters and their relationships with each other - the whole plot of the story - [I am into more thrilling sniper shots] and more instinctial self-preservation. Do Definitely Recommend this book -- m [even though there were loose women in that era I can't believe so many just hop into bed because of their hormones.]

Wanted!

Lark Renault was an outlaw once, but five years later she is now a law-abiding citizen trying to make a new life for herself, until her past catches up with her. Catfish Jack shows up looking for some stolen money and he's convinced that Lark knows where it is. Lark gets protection from Ross Santana. Ross and Lark have a history though; Ross was a bounty hunter in search of Lark and the gang of outlaws she traveled with and Ross has unsettled business with Catfish. Neither Lark nor Ross expected to be attracted to each other or form any kind or relationship, but it's happening anyway. Catfish has found where Lark is hiding out and knowing she is with Ross, gives him an opportunity to finally get rid of the bounty hunter once and for all. Lark has to defend herself from the townspeople and Catfish while contending with her growing feelings for Ross. Ross decides to protect Lark but in the end it's Lark who has to save herself. Wanted is a story with an interesting and unique plot. Lark's experiences throughout the book are not traditional for most heroines. Ross as well is a bit different and because of this I enjoyed this story. Wanted is a quaint, leisurely read with a nice romance. Nannette Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed
