This collection of poetry chronicles over several years with mostly heart and soul-baring poems of a young woman as she comes to terms with her mental and physical illnesses. The poems dance between being very frank and simplistic in language and the world they are set in, to complex and weaving the fantastical worlds of dragons and other creatures of myth into the emotional highs and lows, and overall struggle of living with Bipolar Disorder and chronic physical illness. There are moments of playfulness in times of young flirtations, to the dark dealings with once ignored trauma. This collection is nothing else if not a glimpse inside the mind, heart, and soul of someone who sees the world through a lens of often shifting colors. A kaleidoscope of sounds, images, rhythms, and feelings.
