Where's Buddha?

Papaji liked to say, you can't get it from a book. Eli made a written record of these satsangs, anyway. I love Gangaji and any information about her teacher is helpful. Gangaji is gentle while Papaji could be quite forceful. Books can't give you the realization but they can provide support when you're ready. Papaji's and now Gangaji's message to "stop" is revolutionary. Stop any plan, practice, strategy, etc. that you think will get you what you want and in that stillness, realize you already are it. From his death bed, Papaji invited all of us, where's Buddha? Om Shanti, Shanti! Recommended: Gangaji's THE DIAMOND IN YOUR POCKET

Profound Wisdom, Extraordinary Sage

This version of "Wake Up and Roar" is a compilation of two formerly published books, Volume I and II, with the added treasure of photos of this contemporary, extraordinary sage of modern day India, Papaji. The book is presented in a dialogue manner, so that the reader is able to witness the intuitive manner in which he guided his students in satsang. This is a book that every student who is awakening will eventually read and it will be referred to time and again for clarity and confirmation. It is among the top of my recommended reading for its wisdom on Self-realization, nond-duality and the principles of Advaita. Katie Davis, Awake Joy: The Essence of Enlightenment

The most simple thing explained as simple as possible

Papaji has an amazing talent with words, one of the best if not the best I have read in my opinion. His words lead you into the void, while reading it do the "mental acrobatics" which will lead you directly into the nothingness the stillness that is beyond all thought. Then again there are no tricks to it; it's your intent that matters.

Transformation of human consciousness is procedding at a subtle level

David Godman who edits the series (2 books) has done an excellent labour of love. He has very diligently follwed up Ramana Maharishi's disciples to all corners of India to get an objective account of life and teachings of Ramana - the sage of Arunachala. His other series Power of Presence (3 volumes) is another set I can recommend. There is no hype nor any seemingly over enthusiastic attitude in these documentaries. It is amazing that after seven decades of masters demise, still the seeds are cropping up at unpredictable places. The work of a master does not end with his physical life is very true. In times of conflicts it is of some relief to know that transformation of human consciousness is procedding at a subtle level by many such masters and fortunately it is beyond the reach of political and religous organisations. David Godman has done a great service in providing these books.
