Great info for new actors

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK #iReadBookTours Waiting in the Wings: How to Launch Your Performing Career on Broadway and Beyond by Tiffany Haas is the book for anyone thinking about finding an acting career. In this book, Tiffany Haas does a fabulous job laying out in detail what it takes to pursue any job that had to do with acting or preforming in any way. Haas gives real life experiences that has happened to her from the time she started thinking about acting to her life now, and everything inbetween. One thing for sure is, you will find out just what those favorite actors of yours went through in order to be where they are today. I really enjoyed reading this book, and everything Tiffany Hass endured leading up to her career. It was fun reading about her ten years on Broadway playing Glinda the Good in Wicked. She talked of the good times and the times she had to show up for her job no matter what, and no matter how she felt. It’s hard to believe it took seventy two auditions and seventy two rejections in a row before Haas landed her role as Glinda on Wicked. Haas also has so much advice in her book. She tells about auditions and preparing for them, about agents and managers, being persistent, avoiding scams, tips from a casting director, and so much more. This book is a must if you are thinking about being and actor or actress. It will save you a lot of time and headache. It is definitely worth the money you will spend. I highly recommend Waiting in the Wings and I am happy to give this book Five Stars. A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. Waiting in the Wings

Waiting in the Wings: How to Launch Your Performing Career on Broadway and Beyond will take those aspiring performers to the acting, dancing, and singling world. The book is broken down into seventeen chapters with many helpful tips, opinion, and what to expect. There are sections of auditions, agents, directors, lessons, what to do’s and what not to do’s, and how to protect from being part of a scammer’s web. I liked how the authors were able to show some good, as well as, the ugly of making it to Broadway. There were some words of encouragement for those who are getting discouraged and the authors tell they were able to deal with the difficulties in the pursuit of their own performing aspirations. Though the book is geared toward those seeking a career in performing. With the inclusion of the highs and lows in pursuing this path, can be relevant for other career paths, as well. I am giving Waiting in the Wings: How to Launch Your Performing Career on Broadway and Beyond three and a half stars. Readers who are seeking advice or tips on what to expect of following their own acting ad Broadway dreams would benefit reading this book. I thought it was a good book to read on not giving up. I received a paperback copy of Waiting in the Wings: How to Launch Your Performing Career on Broadway and Beyond from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
