Views of Nevada County by a Careful Observer

Doc Dachtler moved to Nevada County in the late 1960's and with his wife taught in a one room school house in North Columbia. Doc's poems describe some of the characters he meets including residents dating from the days when the only the only way to get to North Columbia was on horse. Also included are tips on driving in the foothills and a discussion of the why it is good to tie your shoes. A finely crafted, warm, friendly book by a fellow human being.
