Unique and effective way to reduce physical tension

The stretches in this book are unique in that they focus on stretching the tendons as opposed to the muscles. The result is that tension can be reduced far more quickly with less effort. I once did an experiment with releasing neck tension using first yoga techniques and then later Wa Do stretching methods. The Wa Do method achieved similar results to the yoga stretches, but in literally one tenth the time. The organization of the book is not as useful as I would like. Rather than the stretches being organized according to muscle groups, they are organized according to various categories of ailments or circumstances, i.e. stretches for students, back ailments, insomnia, and the like. However, if you search long enough, you're likely to find the stretch you want. It has no index, so I made my own to cover the particular muscle groups I'm interested in stretching. Still, it's a good value for the money and time you'll invest in this compact but lengthy (nearly 400 pages) book. Each stretch is very well illustrated and the instructions are always concise. Except for the organization of the book, as noted above, in general Wa Do is the epitome of user-friendliness.
