I was born in Dundee, albeit at the end of the war, but Maureen invoked so many long forgotten memories. I just loved this read, so much so that I have bought her latest trilogy. The smells,the foods, the expressions, all came flooding back, and she even mentioned a long deceased family member. I was sorry when I finished this book, and cannot wait for my sister to bring the books over to Texas, where I live. One of the best reads I have come across in a long time. Thank you Maureen.
