Marc Connors biography

You don't have to be a die hard Nylons fan to read this book. If you don't know who the Nylons are before reading this book, you will after. Everyone will be touched by this book in some way.

Not a Nylons fan, but I like the book

Angela Pancella's book is very moving, conveying the kind of emotion that only comes from sincerity. Looks like Marc Connors was really a very special person... His diary is truly a treasure...All the interviews are very moving, but as a music fan I have to be very jealous of Karen Webb... What a lucky girl! :-D

About a great voice with lots of style

It's weird to read a book about somebody you aren't even sure whether you heard him ever. It's even weirder to find yourself caught in an extraordinary biography, both by content and by the way it is told. This enticing puzzle, candid and meaningful, keeps you on the tethers until all the details are filled in - from the testimony of a child fond of his uncle to the envious, but ultimately admiring, words of one of Marc's rivals. The author keeps herself in the shadow, but her subtle touch can be seen throughout the book. And what remains in the end is the image of a great performer and the gentle light shining over us.

POWERFUL!

Ms. Pancella's use of her subjects' own words give such power to this biography of a talent that not enough people know about. Ms. Pancella is even able to take us into Marc Connors' own personal memoirs, lending extraordinary insight to what this phenominal tenor went through towards the end of his all-too-short life.
