A very good guide to VB, even without a CD

I am writing this after reading about 150 pages-I still have alot to read. I searched several books at all the local bookstores, including the HUGE chains, and found that this was the only one that discussed building a browser. Building a browser was sort of a quest of mine, and this book was the only one to shape up. A few things in the "Build a browser" section are missing, but hey, if you are spoon-fed, you won't learn. For all of those people complaining about not having a cd, it keeps the price down, and in the long run, you'll be able to write code without copying and pasting all the time...because you had to write it in the first place. I wrote this review using the browser I created.
Awesome book!

This is the first book so helpful that it compelled me to spread the word! I didn't read this book straight-through, but rather read the basics and looked up subjecs as needed. This is THE learner's book with the widest content. If not the perfect tutorial, then the perfect reference.
The Best Book to Learn VB

I am a sixteen year old boy, but after I read this book I had enough skill to program on a professional level. If you want to learn Visual Basic you gotta buy this book.
An excellent book - lots of useful information

I am a beginning programmer and looked at a lot of the beginning VB books out there (such as the Wright book mentioned in one of the reviews) and chose this one over all the others. I found this book to have more "meat" that the Wright book or the "Teach Yourself" book. I am very happy with it so far.
