I read all of the Med Center books in middle school, and loved them. They're what got me interested in medicine in the first place. Now, I've volunteered countless hours in hospitals, taken medical classes with college students, completeled job shadows and internships, and in the fall it's finally going to have a big impact on me - I will be starting as a pre-med student at a university. I was so excited to see that they're releasing these books again, hopefully the new(er) release will reach more people and help other kids realize that medicine may be for them. I now recognize that some aspects of the book are unrealistic, but suprisingly fewer than I thought there would be. Diane Hoh did her research...and she has a great series of books to show for it.
