VIOLET BENT BACKWARDS OVER THE GRASS by Lana Del Rey Much like a memoir, poetry is subjective so rating it doesn’t seem appropriate. However, I’ll make an exception as this is one I’ve been meaning to read for a while. What can say about this collection of poems from one of my favorite musicians, Lana Del Rey (aka Elizabeth “Lizzie” Grant)? It is *so* her vibe. I love her love for Los Angeles, its neighborhoods and landscapes. I love the metaphors she uses to describe her emotions and experiences. I love reading between her lines. Am I biased? Possibly. This short and semisweet book ties in (and gives a bit of context to) her albums, Norman F*cking Rockwell and Chemtrails Over The Country Club. I’m glad I opted to listen to the audio book because her voice (accompanied by the instrumental music) made the poems that much more enjoyable and immersive. Recommend if you’re a fan of LDR and a poetry lover. Rating: 4/5 ⭐️

The book was ruined when I got it

First of all my book didn't come with a box, I ordered two books and the first book I got came with a box this one did not. Which resulted my book being dented when I got it. But I love lana and the book would recommend but also recommend good shipping 🫶🏼
