wonderful

I was reading this book on the metro one day after leaving work in DC. As I read stories ranging from deeply moving to very funny to heartbreaking to hope-inspiring, my face must have reflected all this. I looked up and saw a lady intently watching me. We got off at the same stop and she eagerly asked me, "What were you reading?" :) I believe that people have a general sense of right and wrong, but our problem often is in how to implement or apply or live according to our morals and principles. This book provides examples of some ways to do this. Wonderful.

Stories from the life of Abdu'l-Baha

This is a delightful collection of stories concerning the life of Abdu'l-Baha, son of Baha'u'llah, founder of the Baha'i Faith. He was considered by Baha'is to be the perfect example of a Baha'i. There are almost 250 vignettes of his life published in this book - inspiring anecdotes pertaining to the Baha'i way of life. This little book diffuses divine fragrances and it may well whet the spiritual appetite of the serious student to dig deeper into the many rich sources already well documented about the life of Abdu'l-Baha. Best of all I liked this simple phrase... When Abdu'l-Baha once was asked, `What is a Baha'i?', he replied, `To be a Baha'i simply means to love all the world; to love humanity and try to serve it; to work for universal peace and universal brotherhood.'
