The Golden Movie Retriever is surely the most entertaining and useful movie reference book available. Eschewing the normal course of providing long and supposedly insightful reviews and background, Videohound displays a real doggeddness for cataloging just the information that matters. In addition to listings for every movie you can think of, there are also indexes for actors and directors, awards and genres. And yes, there are even trustworthy (and amusing) mini-reviews. One of my most dog-eared reference books of any sort, the Videhound should have a special place on every movie lover's shelf
