Vera's Garden

Anyone who enjoys mice or gardening will delight in this book by Marjolein Bastin. This book has all the elements found in a good garden. There are birds, eggs, insects, planting seeds, and friends. The text is geared for younger children, but it is enjoyable just the same. If not for the text, I recommend it for the artwork alone. It would make a wonderful present for a gardening friend, or you could keep it for yourself. Whatever you choose, Vera in the Garden will be read again and again.
