This book was written in the early 80s and it shows. However, much of what it says still rings true for the VC industry. I give it only four stars because of its age. It is well-written, very concise, and very down-to-earth in its description of how to seek funds from VC firms. Personally, I am more interested in working for VC firms than being an entrepreneur and I found this book to be a great intro to the field because it gives a broad overview while still providing some relevant details that any VC should be aware of. Overall, it is a quick read. If necessary, the description of the legal documents can be skipped and one can still come a way with the bird's eye view of the inner workings of VC. It is also interesting to note how much the VC world has changed since the early 1980s when this book was written.
