Great Book, but Out of Date

I live in Caracas. I've been here two years now. This book is the best PRACTICAL day to day info I have read in a publication BUT it is sadly out of date. I came online today to see if an update had been released since the 3rd edition, but it has not.Much of the data is great in the general sense...you just have to keep in mind that anything regarding A) Money and B) Safety is wrong.The Bolivar's value has dropped incredibly and exchange with the US $ is now illegal. Safety issues have grown and several places the book refers to are now inaccessible. Still, if you keep those things in mind, the rest of the book is outstanding. Waiting for an update!

The most accurate book on Venezuela I have read.

This book was very helpful to me in my travels to Venezuela. It describes the culture and customs of Venezuela specifically and accurately. I would recommed this book to anyone who is planning on traveling to Venezuela.
