Lots of information in this book and it reminds me more of a text book for an interior designer or architect. When I purchased it I wanted to teach myself to draw home interiors, furniture and other items. This book, though insightful, was not for beginners. I did find some interesting material that I hadn't expected (detail informstion and explanation on drawing tools) and I do find myself referencing it when I'm preparing a drawing for myself or others.
Description from the back of the book:

"'Rendering' is the reproduction or representation of an architect's design in the form of a drawing of the building as it will appear, complete with accessory details such as trees, traffic and people. It is also much used in preparing drawings for engineers, designers and manufacturers, and in advertising and industry generally. Mr. Gill has produced a concise, thorough and copiously illustrated guide to techniques and methods, including sections on perspective, projection, shadow, reflections, and on how to draw cars, ships, aircraft, trees, human figures and so on."
