Great snow filled book to cool off in the summer heat

I am truly enjoying those series! This one was full of story and snowy weather. I felt chilly while reading it which is perfect for me right now due to my weather being 103°. This read cooled me down! Unfortunately, two - nearly three - characters were murdered and another died. And for what? Greed?! Senseless murders. In fact, all of the deceased were in a previous book. One deceased in particular I was very upset about because they were such a cool person and would have made future reads zestier. Oh well. Sigh. Miss Tilley is up to her usual grump and this time Lucy got the bad end of the stick; however, Lucy felt guilty about getting upset at Miss Tilley and actually buys her a rather expensive gift as an apology! Completely not necessary, but I get it. Honorable mention to Toby *people cheer and 👏🏼 *. Toby was very brave and calm in the face of tragedy. It was because of him that his mom didn’t completely lose it and have a break down. His quick thinking saved the day and a couple people (namely his mom and dad). The next book, Book 6 is “Christmas Cookie Murder”. I do love Christmas, so I hope it is celebrated and there are tons of Christmas ornaments and decorations mentioned! Oh, and hopefully there’s more snow ❄️ ⛄️ yay! I wonder if Toby will be off to college in Book 6. He was 16 in this book and it seems like each book ages the four kids by 2 years. Oh Lucy and Bill will have empty nest syndrome if Toby moves out. He’s their oldest and their only boy. See ya there!

What's Going On in the Library?

A murder in the library? Lucy begins her service as a library board member by finding a body in the basement. Lucy finds herself investigating another murder because she has more than one mystery to solve. Something is not quite right in the library. I suspected many people of the murder until the real killer was revealed. This was an interesting quick read that will hold your interest. I look forward to more books by this author.

Another great entry in the series

This book was another interesting visit to the world of Tinkers Cove. I always enjoy finding out the latest that is happening and only wish that Ms. Meier could write a little faster so I'd have more books to look forward to. If you're a fan or this type of series mystery or have read any others by this author, you won't be disappointed.

(-: Read this book :-)

i was first introduced to the Lucy Stone Mysteries in one of her latest books - Back to School Murder. I think these books are so clever and never boring in any way. After I read Back to School Murder, I was hooked. I soon found out there were three other books by Leslie Meier. I couldn't wait to read them, they were all great! I loved everyone of them, unfortunately I read them way out of order, but enjoyed them none the less. I enjoyed these books and so will you, read them all!! If you are murder mystery fan and especially love Leslie Meier e-mail me, I would love to hear from you!

Great Author, wonderful book, can't wait for next one!

Leslie Meier is an excellent mystery writer, my favorite actually. Valentine Murder is her latest and she continues to develop her terrific character Lucy Stone. I have enjoyed all of her books and this is no exception. I hate when I finish her books because it will be a while until the next one. I highly recommend all of her books, including Valentine Murder!

Leslie Meier's best yet

I have been reading the Lucy Stone mysteries since "Mail Order Murder." I started reading them because of the New England setting, but continue because with each one, Leslie Meier gets better at creating and developing her plot and characters. Even though clues were sprinkled throughout the story, several characters could have been the murderer. I also learned a lot about the lottery and gambling! The Lucy Stone mysteries are more than pleasant diversions; I dread when each one ends! I think I could live "happily ever after" in Tinker's Cove with Lucy Stone as a neighbor. I look forward to the next Lucy Stone mystery!
