Using The Human Record Sources of Global History Volume1 and 2
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 18 years ago
This manual offers suggestions on how the fifth edition of The Human Record can be used in different classroom situations and as the basis for a variety of writing assignments. It explains the reasons behind our choice of sources and suggests ways of using them in and out of the classroom. It outlines suggested answers to some of the Questions for Analysis that precede each source selection (even though we realize that single, definitive answers do not exist for most of those questions) and proposes ideas that might prove successful in generating student discussion. Almost all of the suggestions that appear in these pages are tactics that we have employed in our own classrooms with at least some success. We have spared you most of our failures. --- excerpt from book's Preface
