This is a great book for a great product--way out of date!

I participated in the development of Reflex--the Analytic Database, suggesting, for example, that the report design section contain a preview feature so the user could see how it would come out before printing it.By the time this book came to be written, the product was being brought out by Borland, and it had improved greatly.Reflex is a single-file (or flat-file database) that is most powerfully used for cross-tabulating data. In a sales database, for example, you can see total products sold, sales by product, sales by salesperson, and all combinations. Reflex makes it automatic--it's actually a great product. I haven't seen any other PC product that can create crosstabs so well, and this product is more than 15 years old.Of course, the book is pointless without the product. Let me know if you are using either the book or the product. I'd love to know what you are doing with it.
